The host does not support required cpu features: AES&#8221; ao realizar deploy de um Edge com EVC habilitado"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Ola pessoal,<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Recentemente eu habilitei o modo EVC (Enhanced vMotion Compatibility) no cluster ESXi do meu ambiente, fiz isso pois precisava mover VM&#8217;s ligadas entre os Host&#8217;s.<\/p>\n<p>Pois bem, no meu ambiente tenho dois Hosts ESXi com as seguintes CPU&#8217;s:<\/p>\n<p id=\"EPzWzjq\">ESXi01<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"552\" height=\"119\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-422 \" src=\"http:\/\/vbrain.com.br\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/img_5faa90af8bbb4.png\" alt=\"\" srcset=\"http:\/\/vbrain.com.br\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/img_5faa90af8bbb4.png 552w, http:\/\/vbrain.com.br\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/img_5faa90af8bbb4-300x65.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 552px) 100vw, 552px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>ESXi02<\/p>\n<p id=\"TXnMcEN\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"552\" height=\"125\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-423 \" src=\"http:\/\/vbrain.com.br\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/img_5faa90d566184.png\" alt=\"\" srcset=\"http:\/\/vbrain.com.br\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/img_5faa90d566184.png 552w, http:\/\/vbrain.com.br\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/img_5faa90d566184-300x68.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 552px) 100vw, 552px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Bom, com EVC mode habilitado, n\u00e3o tive praticamente problema algum em meu ambiente, por\u00e9m, ao tentar criar um Edge Node no NSX-T, recebi o seguinte erro: &#8220;<strong>Edge &lt;uuid&gt; is not ready for configuration error occurred, error detail is NSX Edge configuration has failed. The host does not support required cpu features: [\u2018aes\u2019].<\/strong>&#8221;<\/p>\n<p id=\"WPJBkFz\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"171\" height=\"98\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-421 \" src=\"http:\/\/vbrain.com.br\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/img_5faa90210a0b3.png\" alt=\"\"><\/p>\n<p>Como j\u00e1 havia feito deploy de outros Edges anteriormente \u00e0 configura\u00e7\u00e3o de EVC, sabia que algo estava relacioado, pesquisando nos requerimentos de CPU do NSX-T (https:\/\/docs.vmware.com\/en\/VMware-NSX-T-Data-Center\/2.3\/com.vmware.nsxt.install.doc\/GUID-14183A62-8E8D-43CC-92E0-E8D72E198D5A.html) , percebi que algumas instru\u00e7\u00f5es s\u00e3o necess\u00e1rias, e CPU&#8217;s muito antigas n\u00e3o suportavam tais <em>features.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Voltando nas configura\u00e7\u00f5es de EVC, percebi que o modo de compatibilidade que eu havia habilitado era para processadores com codinomes mais antigos, para CPU&#8217;s mais antigas das que haviam em meu LAB:<\/p>\n<p id=\"OcMpFaD\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1438\" height=\"840\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-424 \" src=\"http:\/\/vbrain.com.br\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/img_5faa9251e1014.png\" alt=\"\" srcset=\"http:\/\/vbrain.com.br\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/img_5faa9251e1014.png 1438w, http:\/\/vbrain.com.br\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/img_5faa9251e1014-300x175.png 300w, http:\/\/vbrain.com.br\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/img_5faa9251e1014-1024x598.png 1024w, http:\/\/vbrain.com.br\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/img_5faa9251e1014-768x449.png 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1438px) 100vw, 1438px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Consultando o site da Intel, \u00e9 poss\u00edvel ver as informa\u00e7\u00f5es sobre cada CPU bem como o codinome desta gera\u00e7\u00e3o:<\/p>\n<p>ESXi01<\/p>\n<p id=\"MlgDFxl\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1428\" height=\"503\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-425 \" src=\"http:\/\/vbrain.com.br\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/img_5faa92cfecf6e.png\" alt=\"\" srcset=\"http:\/\/vbrain.com.br\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/img_5faa92cfecf6e.png 1428w, http:\/\/vbrain.com.br\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/img_5faa92cfecf6e-300x106.png 300w, http:\/\/vbrain.com.br\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/img_5faa92cfecf6e-1024x361.png 1024w, http:\/\/vbrain.com.br\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/img_5faa92cfecf6e-768x271.png 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1428px) 100vw, 1428px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>e ESXi02<\/p>\n<p id=\"YQDBFoo\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1459\" height=\"405\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-426 \" src=\"http:\/\/vbrain.com.br\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/img_5faa92f1e1dbe.png\" alt=\"\" srcset=\"http:\/\/vbrain.com.br\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/img_5faa92f1e1dbe.png 1459w, http:\/\/vbrain.com.br\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/img_5faa92f1e1dbe-300x83.png 300w, http:\/\/vbrain.com.br\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/img_5faa92f1e1dbe-1024x284.png 1024w, http:\/\/vbrain.com.br\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/img_5faa92f1e1dbe-768x213.png 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1459px) 100vw, 1459px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Perceba que a gera\u00e7\u00e3o &#8220;mais inferior&#8221;
